The Sun is the planet that zodiac novices are most interested in. But the moon is equally important in a chart. This planet relates to the world of emotions, including the nature embedded by nature, nurture and memory. It resides in the subconscious and deals with how a person relates to those around them. The characteristics in this sign might not be apparent to the person they refer to since they reside so deeply in the mind. Others are often better able to recognize these traits, as they are put out there into the world more than they are reflected upon.
A zodiac chart with the Moon in Aries represents an assertive subconscious. With an adventurer's spirit, these people are highly motivated, curious and ambitious. In the age old battle between head and heart, the ego strikes a surprise victory in this sign. A quick reaction time can make these people seem too assertive and their temperament is touchy. They come to decisions quickly and make them without question - based solely on a gut instinct. Thoughts come out verbally with little to no editing in between. People who have Moon in Aries are likely to either not notice or not concern themselves with the reactions this brashness can cause in others. It isn't that they are cruel - they just have already moved on to their next goal or event.
There is a childlike naivete and energy about this sign. Others gravitate towards these people because of their infectious enthusiasm. But these persons will have trouble connecting to those close to them and are unlikely to ask for help, even when they need it the most. Fiercely independent, they are also unlikely to ask for advice. A true competitor at heart, there is a tendency to see everyone else as an opponent even when a battle isn't occurring. Compromise and defeat are not words in their vocabulary. Yet they seek out a romantic partner who will challenge and stand up to them. They can't have respect for anyone they can steamroll over. A battle is only a battle if two people are participating. And an Aries Moon loves a good battle. Their ambition is based more on a desire to slay obstacles and gather goal markers than material wealth or admiration.
The assertiveness in this sign can express itself negatively. They can be insensitive to the feelings and desires of those around them. Tempers can flare over a slight provocation. A sense of restlessness can make it hard to focus on one event or person for too long. There is a strong desire to be a rebel, an original, and rebels don't play well with others. But with all of that energy, enthusiasm and passion flying around people will still line up to stand in the vicinity of those with a Moon in Aries. Life is often a battlefield and you could do worse than charge forward with this person leading your pack. On the slight chance you aren't victorious, it will at least be an amazing ride.
