Divination Questions - What Would You Like to Know?

By Richard Wilkins

One of the first divination questions that people usually ask is, "How many types are there?" The simple answer is that there are over fifty. From acultomancy (divining with needles) to zygomancy (divining with weights), and nearly every letter in between. Divination questions spiritual and cosmic forces, using a variety of talismans, tools, cards and other objects. If you have divination questions, the best solution is to do a little online research, and then invest in quality reference materials.

Another one of the more popular divination questions is only interested in whether divination works. The obvious answer is that they must, when used properly. Most techniques have been used for hundreds, even thousands of years. Without some manner of success, they would have long been forgotten, rather than being nearly as popular today as when they were newly discovered. Be wary of using Yes / No questions. This type of reading is extremely sensitive to psychic energies, but offers no margin of error. If a questions is posed incorrectly, the answer will be No, regardless of what the answer to the correctly posed version would have been. This error often relates in faulty readings, and misgivings about the usually accurate process of divination.

Whether you wish to be a diviner, or have a question that needs resolution, make sure all of your divination questions have been satisfactorily answered before getting started. Don't be afraid to ask for clarification, if something doesn't make sense. Readers should not begin a session until they are familiar with the needs of the querent, and what the querent expects to gain from this endeavor. Being an expert using runes doesn't provide a more accurate reading if the caster has misunderstood the nature of the situation.

Once you are satisfied that your divination questions have been answered, you're ready to begin. Decide which type of session you wish to conduct, acquire the materials needed, and practice, practice, practice. Nothing is more important than being able to conduct a casting or reading seamlessly. If you falter and and are unsure when the process begins, you throw uncertainties into the forces you are mediating, and the answers they provide will be affected. Practicing the art is the best bet for a successful reading.
