Why Do You Want a Tarot Reading?

By Amanda Goldston

If you are feeling stuck in your life and are looking
for some guidance, then maybe a reading from a tarot reader, psychic or
medium may help you.  Who do you go to? What do you ask them to make
sure they are the right person to help you?

There are two very important parts to consider. The first is YOU and what you are seeking and the second is questions to ask the READER

Why do you want a reading at this time?

Have
you got a specific burning issue or are you looking for a general
reading or just curious? Are you looking to confirm your intuitive
feelings about a matter? The more specific you can be, the easier it is
for a reader to pick up on what is around you and offer appropriate
guidance.

Are you trying to contact a loved one in spirit?

If so, you will probably need to speak to a medium.

How will you know that the reading has been of value to you?

Are
you looking to be guided and told which direction to go in or are you
looking to guide yourself, and just need a little help to clarify your
thinking? Are you looking for someone to offer you choices and an
alternate future based on YOU making different decisions? Are you
looking for someone to give you some hope and optimism so you can move
forward? Do you want someone to tell you that things are categorically
fixed and there is nothing you can do?

What do you want to be able to do when you have had the reading?

  • Do you want to feel empowered to take some action?
  • Feel as though blocks to success have lifted and you can move forward?
  • Make an important decision?

Once you know your own motivations for seeking a reading, you can set that as a simple intention.

"I
want a reading because... I am looking for someone who can help me
to... Please guide me to right person for me, for the highest good of
all concerned."

Trust your intuition to guide you to right
person. The clearer you are on what type of reading you want and the
type of person you want to deal with, the easier it is to attract the
best person to help you.

You may find yourself on a particular
website or get an urge to call someone you have heard of or often a
recommendation will come up in a conversation about something else.

Watch for those intuitive prompts and act on them.
