Historical Buddhist relics find new home in France

Relics of the historical Buddha Sakyamuni, more commonly known as Siddhartha Gautama, were placed in their new permanent home in the Grand Pagoda in Vincennes on the eastern edge of Paris on Sunday. The relics were a gift from the patriach of Thailand. It's the first time relics of this importance have been brought to a European country and French Buddhists put on a colorful celebration to mark the moment. Images.
